Marvin began his public art career in 2008 with the Steamer Lane Mural (130'x24') located on Swift St. in Santa Cruz. And preceded that commission by filling the Santa Cruz animal shelter with several heart felt portraits. In 2009 he was honored with another mural commission titled "Jazz Alley" (80'x12'). This in part to help celebrate Kuumbwa Jazz Center's 35th anniversary with a painted mural of Jazz greats (mural portraits of; Betty Carter, Roy Hargrove, Regina Carter, John Scoffield and Christian Mcbride.) Located off of Pacific Ave. in Santa Cruz.
